Other than getting stronger, how do you improve your running form and performance? Because running has a brain/body component, running form can be improved through drills that help coordinate your movements. The drills, developed by coach Gerard Mach in the 1950s, are simple to perform. The drills, commonly referred to as the ABCs of running, separate the parts of your stride: knee lift, upper leg motion, and push-off. By separating each part  and slowing the movement, the drills, when properly performed, help runners connect mind and body for better coordination.-and strength development. By correctly performing our drills--repeatedly  (high knees, butt-kicks, karioka, bounds, skips, backwards running, etc..) slowly and carefully-trains our minds and bodies to perform this when we run fast. Helping us to run further--faster!
